Lavender — test plan

Pick the honey type and market, and this builds the lab order: which analyses to request, their ARGEFAR codes, and what the lot will cost to test.

1 · The shape of a test plan

Any honey, any supplier. Three views of the same plan: how it runs alongside the relationship with the apiary owner, how the laboratory sequence branches, and how sealing ties the honey you tested to the honey that arrives.

1 · Stage by stage, with the apiary owner
Stage by stage, with the apiary owner With the owner What you test Money at risk 1 · First contact Inquiry letter Ask hive count and claimed season volume Nothing — yet Check their arithmetic: hives × yield vs claim None 2 · Their sample They send a jar Treat it as a claim, not as evidence Conductivity 480 then C4 sugar 3,300 ••• TL 3 · Site visit Count active hives Inspect extraction and storage, photograph Nothing You are verifying the operation, not the honey Travel 4 · You draw + seal Sample every drum Seal every drum Both sign the form Nothing yet Retention jar kept sealed by you None 5 · Full panel Result decides whether you make an offer PAK-002 9,000 Pollen ID 1,500 Risk tests as needed ••• TL+ 6 · Agreement Term sheet, price, volume, delivery date Deposit paid Nothing Milestones written against test results Deposit 7 · Delivery Check seal numbers BEFORE unloading Mismatch = reject C4, proline, sugars 6,000 Balance held 8 · Final payment Released only after seals verified and arrival test passed Full price commitment rises → Verification always sits to the left of the money it protects. Nothing above stage 6 commits you to anything, and the two stages that cost nothing — the arithmetic in stage 1 and the site visit in stage 3 — remove more bad suppliers than any laboratory does.

Prices are ARGEFAR’s, VAT included; a ministry laboratory charges the national tariff for the same analyses — see section 7. Conductivity is a strong disproof and a weak proof: a honeydew claim reading below 0.8 mS/cm is finished, but a pass only confirms the class, and mineral content can be raised deliberately.

3 · Compliance limits

4 · Three traps that cause wrong rejections

Chestnut exceeds the conductivity ceiling legitimately Kestane balı typically runs 1.0–2.0 mS/cm despite being a blossom honey. Failing it against the 0.8 blossom limit rejects good honey.
Acacia and citrus have naturally low diastase A result of 4–6 Schade with fresh HMF is normal, not evidence of overheating. The ≥3 exception applies when HMF is at or below 15 mg/kg.
Citrus and lavender have higher sucrose allowances Citrus is permitted 10% and lavender 15%, against the general 5%. Grading either against a flat 5% rejects perfectly good honey.
The rest of this plan is free — we just ask who you are

What you have read so far is the reasoning. Behind this form is the part that took the work: every ARGEFAR analysis with its code, method and price, what each test will and will not tell you, eleven laboratories compared on the same panel with links to their published fee lists, the sealing method that ties the honey you tested to the honey that arrives, and where NMR is actually run in Turkey.

Let us review your analysis results

Send us your laboratory report and we will assess moisture, HMF, diastase and sugar values against EU and Codex limits, free of charge. We will tell you plainly which value would cause a problem on export and which sits close to the line.

Honey Trade buys pine honey. We are open to price discussions for lots with suitable values.

Free assessment. We do not collect samples or arrange shipping — you order the analysis directly from the laboratory.
